Carol Adaire Jones, an environmental economist, co-leads the Environmental Law Institute's Food Waste Initiative, which conducts research to inform public policies and public-private initiatives to promote the reduction of wasted food, reuse of edible wasted food, and recycling of food waste through composting and anaerobic digestion. She has also served on the faculties of the University of Michigan and INCAE (Costa Rica), and as research director in programs at USDA and NOAA. Jones received her Ph.D. in Economics from Harvard University.
