Maryam Mohammadi-Aragh is currently a Ph.D student at Mississippi State University in the Department of Sustainable Bioproducts and is studying how biochar and wood vinegar influence nutrient retention, compost maturity rates, and class 1 integron expression in poultry litter compost. She received a M.S. in Food Science at Mississippi State University for researching rapid screening methods for detecting pathogenic Vibrio parahaemolyticus.
